Naogaon

Bangladesh Table of Contents

Naogaon, city in northwestern Bangladesh, in Rajshahi Division, 60 km (40 mi) northeast of Rajshahi. Jute, tobacco, and mustard produced in the region are traded at Naogaon. Naogaon is connected by road to nearby Santahar, which is connected by rail to Rajshahi and Saidpur. Population (1991) 109,631.
